A wide variety of wild animals, races, and traditions”

OMGOI COFFEE is a project following the footsteps of King Rama IX’s royal initiatives. The aim of the project was to promote coffee growing in order to help generate income for hill tribe people living in various upstream forests. The project could prevent deforestation and substitute for opium shifting farming.

Coffee is a plant that must be grown in a shade that does not have more than 60% sunlight. Therefore, it is suitable for planting along the forest line.

1 Rai can grow approximately 400 trees, providing a good yield of 2.5-3 kg / tree, generating high income up to 15,000-25,000 baht / Rai.

In addition, it is also a means of forest conservation. Hill tribes must preserve forests and coffee planting areas not to let the fire enter during the dry season. This helps protect the forest at the same time. Therefore, it is essentially suitable to promote growing coffee trees in various highland areas in the north.

OMGOI COFFEE has started from getting to know real coffee by using knowledge and true understanding about it to apply thoroughly in a complete cycle of coffee bean production. The cycle starts from soil adjustment and preparation, watering, care from the beginning of planting until the time of harvesting. Only the fruits that have a bright red color are chosen. After that, the fruits would be brought through the peeling machine and to separate the impurity. Then, through the process of fermentation, both smell and taste would penetrate deep inside the seeds. Next, the seeds would be dried and then packed into sacks and stored in a well-ventilated place as standard procedure before becoming quality coffee beans which would then be peeled and roasted.

Roasting is the most important method and procedure for extracting the properties of the coffee, such as aroma and the smoothness of the taste. The temperature and duration of roasting will affect the aroma and flavor of the coffee. Coffee with a mild aroma and smooth flavor inevitably comes from quality coffee beans. OMGOI COFFEE pays attention to every step of the production process so that our important customers will be served delicious coffee.
